TO SPEAK OF WOLVES
Find Your Worth, Come Home

Myself > Letting Go was an introduction to a band I saw serious potential in, even if they hadn’t quite latched onto it at the time. Now with Find Your Worth, Come Home, I was anticipating to be blown away by a more focused formula. Sadly, the band still hasn’t quite gotten to that point. However, despite the first couple tracks being too bland for my expectations, To Speak of Wolves do certainly start bringing out their creative sides by the mid way point of the album. Once there, starting at “A Simple Thought That Changed Everything”, Find Your Worth becomes an awesome beast. The singing is one area that helps flesh out their sound during this portion of the record, but also the instrumental variety increases tenfold. It’s as if the band finally decided to get more constructive and progressive with their sound at this point, which was similar to what I found during Myself > Letting Go. If the band could just stick to this style from start to finish without bogging their music down with the more straight forward, thrash moments, then To Speak of Wolves could become kings. However, Find Your Worth isn’t quite there yet thanks to the band’s desire to throw in a handful of unworthy tracks like last time. My suggestion would to be to just play the second half of the record as if it were an EP. You’ll have a much better time overall than if you hear the entire album. (By Nathaniel Lay)
